Park City Summer Fun

Smack dab in the middle of touring some of my favorite Park City Resort base area properties we were treated to some thrills! Although I love touring accommodations and seeing the upgrades that owners and property managers have made, it’s not exactly heart racing. So flying through the air at 45 miles per hour was the perfect mid-day diversion.

Let me start by saying, I am not exactly a thrill seeker. If I snowboard the rest of my life and never have to describe my terrain of choice as “extreme” I am a happy camper. I do enjoy life, and am always up for an adventure but my adrenaline tends to kick in at a much lower level than most, and I am fine with that.

Despite that disclaimer, I was not going to pass up the opportunity to enjoy all that Park City Resort has to offer during the summer. And just maybe, a little part of me cannot wait to come back here with my kids and listen as they scream with joy all the way down the track of the Alpine Coaster!

The base area has activities to appeal to all ages and levels of thrill seeking. For the more adventurous, try the Zip Line and the Alpine Coaster. Prefer moderate exhilaration? The Alpine Slide and Rock Climbing Wall will get your heart going. Taking it easy or travelling with small children? Ride the scenic lift and enjoy the wildflowers during a leisurely picnic, or stay at the base for some kid friendly fun in the Adventure Zone.

I personally recommend the purchase of an Alpine Pass, this will give you unlimited access to all activities (the zip line will run an extra $5, but well worth it). Hours of operation and daily cost will vary, so if you are local, check this before you head up: Park City Summer Activities

If you are heading to Park City for a vacation, Mountain Reservations can organize your lodging and all your activities including your Alpine Pass.  Call: 800-331-3178.

I am passionate about The Rocky Mountains. I have been blessed to live in such great states as Colorado, Montana, Utah, and even Alaska. If you want to talk about mountain life—fresh air, hiking, climbing, camping or powder—I am your girl! If you really want to get me going, let’s chat about Montana. I worked, played and lived in Big Sky for more than ten years. There isn’t a question I can’t answer or a request I can’t make happen. Just try me!
