Summer Sights in Colorado

Welcome!  My name is Laura, and I will be your ski director.  For anyone who didn’t watch Love Boat, welcome to my journey.  I am a ski vacation planner and your new best friend in mountain travel.   I love to ski, snowboard, travel and share it with friends old and new.  I am based out of Park City, Utah, but know oh so much more.  If I don’t know the answer to your question about western ski resorts, I’ll go find it (any excuse to travel)!  It’s summer, so not much skiing, but still a whole lot going on.

I just got back from a tremendous trip to Summit and Eagle Counties in Colorado!  If I didn’t live here, I’d be there.  So much going on.  On top of the always valuable refresher, activities abound.  Even in the rain the Frisco Barbeque Challenge was amazing!  It’s a Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned event and might make you question your BBQ loyalties.

Arapahoe Basin is still open, Peak 8 Fun Park is gearing up and so is the Breck Connect Gondola.  Don’t miss FACs (Friday Afternoon Club)!  Food and concerts throughout Summit and Eagle Counties.  The locals don’t miss it—you shouldn’t either.  Rides, runs, farmers markets, shows, festivals—all summer long.  Ok, ok.  Really, I don’t work for the chamber but it’s so fun!

The free concerts have started up in Ford Park in Vail, and are not to be missed.  Pack a picnic or grab an amazing meal at Up the Creek in Vail Village, and head on over.  If not heading to the show, luxuriate in The Spa at Arrabelle in Lionshead.  If you’ve stayed at the Arrabelle, you know the treat you are in for.

I’m out, but I hope you get to know me and what I love.  This was just a quickie of my last trip.  I’ll try to get better.  I welcome all input, criticisms and corrections.  I know a lot, but I don’t know it ALL (but I’ll keep trying)!
