Aspen has a ton of great dinning, from two remarkable sushi places, to gourmet pizzerias, to many other fine dining options! On our last visit to Aspen we dined at the Elevation Restaurant & Bar and it was amazing! Elevation opened in 2000 and just a year later they were awarded a People’s Choice Award for Best New Restaurant! Their drink menu is something special as well, with over 400 offerings and some of the world’s most renowned wines!
We arrived for dinner at the perfect time: 6:30 p.m. We received a great table outside; the location is right downtown with wonderful views of the mountains as well as downtown Aspen! We started with a nice bottle of white wine and ordered appetizers. The wasabi Caesar salad was to die for! I found that this salad won the “Best Salad” award in Aspen Magazine in 2004; I strongly suggest giving it a try! For the main course I ordered the grilled beef tenderloin. As soon as it arrived at the table I knew I had made the right choice. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection and served with mashed potatoes, asparagus and a delicious house stake sauce!
Overall, I would have to give Elevation Restaurant & Bar an A+! If you want some of the best fine dining in Aspen you must stop by Elevation. Great drink list, amazing apps, breathtaking entrées and a very cozy atmosphere to throw it all together! Elevation has a great location downtown; it is walking distance to everything and provides exceptional customer service for a very reasonable price!
