Epic Pow Days Return to Tahoe

Tahoe made headlines last week when Vail Resorts acquired the strong hold local’s resort Kirkwood of Tahoe. It was a relief to see news that did not highlight the lack of snow in Northern California’s major ski destination for the last few months. The wait is over for other good news! Winter has arrived to Tahoe and the storm is only just beginning along with winter craze among resorts. Tahoe is welcoming back La Niña with open arms!

Photo taken from @sugarbowl1939. Disney Express this morning. Keep the snow coming!

@SquawValley tweeted this morning: “Storm total of 3 feet! 18″ in the past 24 hours and it’s still coming down hard! #SNOW

@Kirkwood Mountain later tweeted: “Chair 6 open! Blower pow 12″ + on top! Coop”

@sugarbowl1939 followed in the theme of new snow with: “It’s snowing! Possible 17-30 inches by Thursday night! Check out what BA has to say http://tahoeweatherdiscussion.com/

This is only a glimpse into the hysteria that is hitting the 11 resorts in the greater Tahoe area. It’s always nice to measure snowfall in feet versus inches. So get out there to enjoy the beginning of many epic pow days to come. La Niña is here to stay. Who’s ready to book a ski vacation to Tahoe? Click here to book a vacation today!
