- Family oriented – Everything in the resort seems to be designed with families in mind. For example, the Buckaroo Express Gondola – the only gondola that I’ve ever heard of that is designed especially for kids.
- Outdoor ice skating rink – Year round! How cool is that!
- The ski area is never crowded – You can always find untracked snow on a powder day or a wide open groomer to carve fast turns on and there is never a lift line.
- Great restaurants – There are dozens of excellent places to enjoy a good meal. My favorite – Mirabelle, just left of the resort entrance gate.
- Chocolate chip cookies – Keep an eye out for the people in chef outfits who hand out freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies at around 10am and 3pm every day.
- The Buffalo Bar at the Ritz Carlton in Bachelor Gulch – Try the Jamaica Jerk Burger – it comes with authentic Caribbean flavors and an icy cold Red Stripe beer.
- Beano’s Cabin -Ride the sleigh up the mountain to Beano’s for dinner. It’s a great mountain experience and the food is amazing. Make sure you reserve well in advance.
- Ski right up to the terrace -Skiing makes people thirsty but, in most resorts, you have to walk for a few minutes to get from the end of the last run to the terrace. In Beaver Creek Village, there are several terraces near the bottom of the Centennial Chairlift that you can ski right up to. Step out of your skis and take a seat. Cheers!
- Dial A Ride Service – The service is free. Just call the number and tell them where you want to go. Within minutes, a shuttle van will arrive at your front door. Call them again when you’re ready to head back and they will come get you.
